Nike Golf Design Team
Shield Crest
2000 AD
Reference
Nike introduced the Golf Shield in 1998, the year it broke golf out as its own division, and used it until roughly 2007. A heraldic badge on technical nylon — an argument that golf belonged to the same lineage as the club sports Nike had been dressing for a decade. It ran alongside the swoosh rather than replacing it, and Nike brought it back in 2026, so the shield alone does not date a piece. Read it with the tag and the fabric.
